How To Make Singara

Bangla Singara Making Recipe is a street food of Bangladesh that is sold on every corner of Bengal especially in sweet shops. It is considered one of the most popular Bengali snack recipes. It is made with onions, garlic, potatoes, carrots, vegetables which is one of the most sought-after snack recipes on Singara recipes and therefore meatless days.

In this preparation, the potatoes are cooked with a few spices and peanuts with peanuts and homemade fried spices, and then all the intended flour is stuffed into a cone and tapped carefully. Then it is gently fried and gradually turns golden brown. It is always served hot as a snack with chutney and green chili pickle. Below is the recipe for how to make Singara.


Step -1 for the dough

  • Flour – 1kg
  • Egg – 1piece
  • Oil -300g
  • Salt – 20g
  • Naijella – 1tbsp
  • Water – 300g

Step -2 for the filling

  • Potato – 1.5 kg
  • Peanut -80g
  • Peas – 30g
  • Green chili – 12g
  • Cardamom – 4 piece
  • Cinnamon – 2 inch
  • Bay leaf – 2 piece
  • Onion – 3 piece medium slice
  • Salt – 30g
  • Chili powder – 1tsp
  • Turmeric – 1tsp
  • Curry masala – 1tsp
  • Chat masala – 1tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped – 10g
